FAIR IN THE SQUARE WAS FANTASTIC - SHREWSBURY CHRONICLE, THURSDAY, JULY 22nd, 2010

The Fair in the Square on Saturday, July 10, was absolutely fantastic and I want to congratulate the Made in Shropshire collaborative and highlight its work.

Since its inception, this collaborative of local crafts people has really gone from strength to strength. The wealth and high standard of beautiful, functional and delicious products on offer was staggering.

As well as showcasing local talent, I think this group is doing a great job at promoting Shropshire.

There were several visitors who were clearly impressed, as was I. There was a wide choice of gorgeous handcrafted products to suit all ages, clearly made with skill and passion and sold at prices to suit all pockets.

I hope Made in Shropshire soon have a permanent shop and exhibition space, but in the meantime, the Fair in the Square is usually held on the second Saturday of each month.

In August, however, the Fair will be held on the first Saturday. I know I'll be back for another look and August isn't too early to shop for Christmas !

Made in Shropshire has been going now for just over 2 years.  We hope that during that time we have managed to impress people with the quality of our goods and produce and that we have set up events that have been well worth the visit.
